I started skiing in 1974 at the age of 4. At the age of 9 i was already participating in slalom and giant slalom ski competitions in Greece. I was quite fast and gained lots of medals, but doing jumps and tricks seemed more attractive to me... So when I first saw a snowboard in 1988, I immediately bought it even tough I had never ridden one before, and I was hooked! I was snowboarding every weekend and holidays with passion ever since. During the summer, I used to go to different snowboard camps in the Alps to keep up to date with the International snowboard scene and meet other riders. That is also how I managed to be included in the International Arnette snowboard team.

I have taken part in two F.I.S. World Snowboard Half pipe Championships in 1996 and 1997 and managed to place 26th and 52nd respectively, even though it was the first time I had ever ridden a proper half pipe! Snowboarding those  days was a great thing, being a new sport and all, and I am very happy that I had the opportunity to be a part of the evolution.

When I graduated from university, I had more free time and was able to focus more on the sports I loved. That was when I started being more creative and enjoying organizing events, competitions, snow parks, etc of which my favorite part was exploring natural terrain at the back country in order to build kickers!

Most memorable moments in snowboarding include Graig Kelly's visit in Greece in 1991 to film the "Fear of the Flat Planet", when I had the chance to guide him and also ride with him. A slope at Parnassos mountain is also named after him among snowboarders, since he was the first one to ever descend it. I will also never forget Jamie Lynn's visit with "Snowboarder" magazine in 1995, to cover an article about snowboarding in the Greek mountains, that also featured my interview!  The crazy sessions at mountain Verbier with David Vincent, who also came to Greece to ride with us, will also remain carved in my memory forever!
